Pat Williams | CEO
I graduated from Northwestern State University in 1976. In 1978 I started Pat Williams, Building Contractor and was active in residential construction. After working 10 years in residential construction, I started Pat Williams Construction, Inc. in 1988 and primarily focused on commercial construction, working mainly in Vernon Parish. In the mid 1990’s, I started bidding projects in all of the surrounding parishes. By 1999, the company had grown to 118 employees and continues to grow today. Many of my dedicated employees are still with me today.
Jason Williams | President
I began working for my father’s company as a laborer during summer breaks. I gained additional experience by later taking administrative roles with the Estimating and Project Management department within his company each summer until high school graduation. I attended Louisiana State University and received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Construction Management in 2001. I spent four subsequent years working for The Shaw Group Inc., headquartered in Baton Rouge, LA, as a project estimator and regional business development manager for the Fabrication and Manufacturing Division of the company. I returned home in 2005 and served as a Project Estimator, Project Manager, and Vice President beginning in 2012. I have been extremely fortunate to be surrounded with a substantial amount of leadership and experience throughout my career.
Jared Cavys | Vice President of Construction
I have been working on commercial construction sites since I was a young teen as I was raised by an owner of a commercial construction contractor. Although my father’s construction company was bought out by a larger company, I continued to work construction throughout my teen years. After graduating from high school I worked several years as a Carpenter’s Apprentice. The company I worked for recognized my abilities and brought me into their office to learn Estimating and Project Management. By 20 years of age I was bidding and managing projects in excess of $1 million. At the age of 29, I replaced the firm’s Chief Estimator and was bidding on Highway, Street, & Bridge Construction projects, Municipal & Public Works projects, and Commercial Building projects with budgets reaching $20 million. Being brought up in this business has allowed me to learn from not only hands on experience but also by working with and learning from some of the best in the business. At my current age of 36, I feel that I have experienced the best of both worlds by learning from seasoned construction personnel and also having learned the latest technology to aid the construction process.
Rachel Betts | Vice President of Finance
During high school, I spent my after school hours working as a bookkeeping assistant and tax seasons helping prepare tax returns for a local CPA’s office. After graduating one year early from DeRidder High School in 1999, I attended college at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, from which I received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting in December of 2003. While working for a local non-profit organization, I continued my studies and received my Masters of Business Administration in May of 2005. I worked for a public accounting firm for one month, quickly decided that I missed private accounting and moved to Baton Rouge to work for a transportation company, where I started my career as a Controller. I have been with Pat Williams Construction since February of 2011 and I love my position with this company, working with my peers and learning this industry.
Brandon Jardneaux | Senior Project Manager
After graduating high school in 1994, I began working for a local steel erection company as a helper. I worked on erecting structural steel, pre-engineered metal buildings and installing metal roofing systems. During my 6 years of employment there, I worked my way up from a helper position to a lead foreman position. I was approached by a General Contractor in 2000 to work as a Steel Superintendent running multiple projects overseeing all of their steel erection and metal roofing crews. During this time I became certified in 4 different metal roofing systems with 3 major metal roofing suppliers. After 6 years of working as a superintendent, the company then offered me a position in the office as a Project Manager/Estimator where I started bidding/managing highway and road projects. After a few years, I began estimating and managing larger commercial building projects which includes projects for McNeese State University, Calcasieu Parish School Board, and Calcasieu Parish Police Jury just to name a few. In 2013 I was given the opportunity to join Pat Williams Construction as a Project Manager/Estimator. I am very excited to be a part of this team as we continue to grow and strive to be one of the top General Contractors in the area.
Russ Jeansonne | Senior Project Manager/Estimator
I began working for Westerchil Construction Company in Alexandria after graduating from Northeast Louisiana University in Construction Management in 1993. While at Westerchil, I was both an Estimator and Project Manager for almost 20 years working mainly in Central Louisiana. As a result of company down-sizing, I joined Ratcliff Construction Company as an Estimator. With Ratcliff, I estimated projects throughout Central and South Louisiana. After about 3 years, I decided to again both estimate and project manage projects from conception to completion. This has led me to Pat Williams Construction where I will continue to build relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and owners.
Gary McElwee | Project Manager/Estimator
I graduated from Northwestern State University in 1978. I worked for a brief time in the Oil & Gas Industry right out of college. After that I started working for a commercial General Contractor in Shreveport, Louisiana as a Project Manager/Assistant Estimator and knew immediately that this was the industry I wanted to make a career out of. I then worked for another construction company in Natchitoches, Louisiana as a Project Manager/Lead Estimator until 1983 when I started my own General Construction company and have been in this business ever since. I joined Pat Williams Construction in 2015 and am looking forward to working with Pat and his staff.
Ross Bowers | Project Manager/Estimator
After graduating from Barbe High School in 2004, I went on to Mcneese State University and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. While attending college I worked as a Salesman for Coburn’s Supply in Lake Charles for 4 years. After graduating I worked as an Accountant with a local CPA firm for 3 years. In 2012 I went back to Coburn’s Supply as an Inside Sales Representative until I was offered a position with Pat Williams Construction in 2015 as a Project Manager/Estimator. I am excited about my new career path and look forward to learning more about the construction industry as I grow with the company.
Will Jenkins | General Superintendent
After graduating high school I went to college in Tennessee in 1973. I worked part time in the construction industry on a nearby military base. While working in this field I realized that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my career. I gave up college and never looked back. I was hooked. Over the last 40 years I have received technical training in numerous construction fields and have been fortunate to work with some amazing individuals who have shared their extensive knowledge of construction with me. I also served in the military during this time and quite literally “saw the world”. I have been a General Superintendent with Pat Williams Construction for nearly 10 years. I began working as a Superintendent and was lucky to be a part of some of the largest projects this company has seen. Our company dynamic promotes growth through success and is an exciting team to be on.
