I graduated from Northwestern State University in 1976. In 1978 I started Pat Williams, Building Contractor and was active in residential construction. After working 10 years in residential construction, I started Pat Williams Construction, Inc. in 1988 and primarily focused on commercial construction, working mainly in Vernon Parish. In the mid 1990’s, I started bidding projects in all of the surrounding parishes. By 1999, the company had grown to 118 employees and continues to grow today. Many of my dedicated employees are still with me today.
The years following Pat Williams Construction’s founding were times that saw the company performing small residential renovations to new home construction. At this time, the construction company was performing five hundred thousand dollars a year in construction services with five employees. As the company’s reputation grew, so did the volume and the number of employees.
In 1988, Pat Williams Construction Company became known as Pat Williams Construction, Incorporated. The number and size of construction projects rose over the next twenty-five years as Pat Williams Construction solidified its place as one of Central and Southwest Louisiana’s largest, most reliable, quality-minded commercial contractors.
