This project consists of replacing all ceilings with new suspended tiles and grid, including new batt insulation above the tile, installing new vinyl tile floors, carpet tile or new coatings on concrete floors, installing new cabinets and replacing cabinet tops, installing new light fixtures, new ductwork and new mechanical equipment. It also calls for the replacement of the communication, camera and data systems as well as the sprinkler heads and repairing of the sprinkler system. All detention bunks and tables will be refinished, all broken glass in detention windows will be replaced and all designated walls, doors, frames and partitions will be repainted. Finally, the project consists of replacing plumbing fixtures, replacing all detention swinging doors and hollow metal doors and frames, providing controls and power wiring to detention doors and all hardware, and installing new lockers for both inmates and staff.
