The structure in this project was designed to withstand a category 5 Hurricane or tornado and will be able to provide temporary shelter for emergency responders and personnel during a storm if necessary. The Safe Room Project is a 5600 SF building that will contain offices, meeting rooms and restrooms with showers and concrete paved parking and drives. The Building exterior is to be constructed of structural concrete masonry walls with face brick veneer, engineered steel roof trusses, metal decking, standing seam metal roof, hurricane rated storm shutters, and an internal emergency backup generator and exterior fuel storage tank.
