Intracoastal Park Shoreline Protection

This project consisted of installing cellular concrete block revetment mattresses on a prepared sub grade of No. 57 stone and lime treated clay to reclaim a portion of the eroded bank between the existing steel sheet pile wall around the foundation for the Ellender Bridge to the west side of the existing boat ramp for the park then the East side of the existing concrete boat ramp to the existing timber boat wharf for an approximate total 760 linear feet. The sub grade is constructed to form a 10- foot wide level walking surface. Three sets of concrete stairs were constructed for access from the top bank down to the walking surface. Two handicap ramps were constructed for ADA accessibility from the top bank down to the level walking surface. Two sections of timber walkway and vinyl sheet pile wall were constructed to tie the existing timber walkway and vinyl sheet pile wall to the new 10- foot wide level walking surface. This project included all clearing and grubbing, removal of existing concrete obstructions, excavation and embankment, topsoil, hydro-seeding, and erosion control system.
